Some Boosh fanart inspired by the song Hell by the Squirrel Nut Zippers. I always loved the idea of jazz being associated with hoodoo, death and hell. Howin' Jimmy doessn't get enough fan love, and he's one of my favourite characters, so I decided to give him a back-up band and draw them jamming in hell. And yes, there's poor Howard Moon playing the trumpet; I guess Jimmy finally caught up with him and dragged him back to hell...

P.S. Howlin' Jimmy Jefferson is the sweetest goddamn jazz musician ever.

Yo.
I'd say this is the sweetest goddamn picture I've seen in a while.
Love how you took a few existing characters and a song and turned out something so fucking original and beautiful it's crazy.
Okay, the colour palette is PERFECT for the atmosphere and goes perfectly with jazz. The reflective lighting only enhances it's warm, and pulls the viewer's focus to details like the texture of Jimmy's dreadlocks and the metallic-feel of the instruments. Love the skeletons and random jazz girl, as well as your fire (shut up, I dont care, it looks fantastic). All your pictures have such strong motifs and atmospheres to them, and this piece is no exception.
